My company emails land in yahoo bulk. How do I get off the blacklist? February 3, 2010

I sign up users for my travel deals newsletter. I never buy them from 3rd party opt-in lists. All subscribers receive personalized travel deals once a week. Recently, Yahoo put me in the bulk folder again. My revenue dropped significantly for the newsletter.

Please let me know what to do to avoid the problem. I use Barracuda and check the spam score once a week to make sure that the email itself is not bad.

Put their email address in your address book. This works for me.

This is common anytime you send out an e-mail to multiple recipients. Because of the very fact that you have many recipients, the receiving mail server identifies it – correctly, strictly speaking – as bulk email (bulk=going out to many people at once). You can’t do anything about yourself, as far as I know, but the recipients of your newsletter can, by selecting the email from you and then clicking the symbol or link saying “this isn’t spam”.
