skin rash from contact with disinfectant spray. should I see a dr? February 7, 2010

The affected skin developed a rash and not itchy but burns. It’s from constant contact with Lysol disinfectant spray (aerosol). I unknowingly misused it. Should I see a doctor or let it run its course?
it’s not a flat red rash, they are raised bumps, like pimples. I think it’s more like a chemical burn rather than an allergic reaction.

no just wash the area with soap and water a few times. if the rash gets worse, see a doctor.

Let it run its course. As long as contact was only on the skin (no internal ingestion) you will be fine and won’t need to see a Dr. Simply discontinue use and/or contact and the rash will subside within the next several days.

It may also help to apply a topical cream to the area such as “Hydrocortisone”, Calamine lotion, or tea tree soothing gel…these will help ease the itchiness/burning sensation and may also speed up recovery time.

how about read the back? ” if irritation occurs stop use and see a doctor immediately” the labels on the back say it all
