do you know any email portals and clients through which it is easier and more direct to send and listen(recipient) voice emails,rather than recording as a wav file and attaching to email

i would appreciate if you give me more specific results and not lists to search from

Yahoo has a voice mail facility, in case you didn’t know!?!?

Please check your Yahoo e-mail Account and you’ll find the provision for that in there!?!?

Enhancing the utility of Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! has introduced free voice mail to its suite of services. People can sign up for a 10-digit mailbox number and invite others to leave them voice messages by dialing 1-800-MY-YAHOO (1-800-699-2466) and entering the mailbox number of the person for whom they would like to leave a voice message.

People can access both their voice and text messages using an integrated Yahoo! Mail inbox. Voice mail and e-mail messages can be accessed online through the Yahoo! Mail Web interface, or by dialing into Yahoo! by Phone and entering a private password. The messages may then be listened to and easily managed over a phone, with email messages read out loud using advanced text-to-speech technology provided by SpeechWorks International, Inc.

After listening to e-mail and voice mail messages, people can reply and/or forward messages with a voice message of their own. Users also can simply send or forward messages to anyone using the information they have stored in their Yahoo! Address Book.

Free Long Distance Calls – PC to Phone
The newest version of Yahoo! Messenger, one of the Web’s most popular instant communication, information and notification services, now features a “call” button, which initiates a free long-distance or local call from a person’s PC to a phone number anywhere in the United States. Any user with an Internet-connected computer, a microphone, speakers and sound card can take advantage of this free service as often as he or she likes.

To optimize the voice quality of PC-to-phone calls, Yahoo! Messenger walks people through an easy-to-use set-up wizard that assists them in configuring their computer for voice conversations. The set-up wizard tests speaker and microphone volume, as well as feedback, and provides suggestions for optimizing settings for voice over the Internet on their existing equipment.

Once set up, people who use Yahoo! Messenger can call their friends, family and co-workers no matter where they are, for free. This gives people the choice of how they best want to communicate with others whether sending a text e-mail, a text instant message or initiating a voice conversation with a PC or a traditional telephone user though new technologies like Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! by Phone or Yahoo! Chat.

Yahoo! by Phone, Yahoo! Mail’s voice features and Yahoo! Messenger’s PC-to-phone calling services are available free to users in the United States.
